I was honoured to be commissioned by Johnstons of I was honoured to be commissioned by Johnstons of Elgin to create a series of paintings, telling the story of wool, on its journey to the mill. To mark the company’s 225th anniversary, they have produced a beautiful wool blanket, designed by Johnstons talented, Laura Garner, who was (unbelievably) inspired by the colours and brush marks used in my paintings. The project is particularly close to my heart, as the wool used comes from Bluefaced Leicester sheep from our own flock, along with four other local farmers. It’s been a privilege to be involved in promoting wool – a wonderful, sustainable, versatile and under-used product – and I have loved telling the tale of its route from the field to the shearing shed. I’ve met so many inspirational, warm, kind people in the process and feel extremely lucky to have got the opportunity to work with such an iconic company - thank you Johnstons of Elgin.

Thank you to the lovely Matthew and Ryan @watershedframing for the beautiful frames and for being so accommodating with time scale.

Thank you also for all the kind, encouraging comments regarding my artwork following the launch of the blanket, it means a huge amount.
